Information

Deliverance is the home of the Raven Guard. It is a moon in orbit around the planet Kiavahr, and was originally a gigantic slave mine world for the tech-guilds of Kiavahr. The amount of resources available on Delivreance made it come close to, with the production aid of Kiavahr, a forgeworld. To maintain control of the moon, there was a huge tower that was used by the slavers to rain death from above in case of insurrection. The moon itself is a barren, airless rock covered in huge buildings. It has a population running into the billions of workers and craftsmen, originally slaves to the overseers of Kiavahr. The atmosphere is polluted to such an extent that mutations occur regularly. This has given the Adeptus Ministorum cause for concern, but extra leeway is given due to the superb craftsmanship of the materials leaving the system.

Corax led a rebellion of the slave workers against their taskmasters and let loose his hatred of slavery. Every prisoner taken was executed. Corax then led his warrior slaves to destroy forces sent from Kiavahr and secured the moon. Kiavahr was sent reeling, with no resources to use they were defenceless.

When the Emperor arrived, it is said the Corax talked with him for a day and a night, but eventually he took his place next to the Emperor, taking command of the Raven Guard. Corax converted the slave tower into the fortress of the Raven Guard, renaming it the Ravenspire.

After Corax's failed experiments at increasing the growth rate of a Space Marine, he locked himself in the Ravenspire for precisely one year. When he came out he set a course for the Eye of Terror, alone, never to be heard from again.
